Hi Sharon, I also had the wires out of the wall thing in the upstairs art of the house. While climbing around at the top of the built in linen closet I found the old doorbell for up there also. So, I called a man to come out here. He looked everything over used a little meter thing to test currents (I guess) then he took both bells and re-wrapped them with copper? wire. He brought them back and installed them both about a week later and only charged $60 for the whole ordeal. Which I thought seemed fair. Now we a ringy dingying all over the place.
