How to remove unusual stain on table..Help please

I put a purple piece of paper under a centerpiece in the middle of my oak dining table. My son had spilled a drink and didn't tell me. The paper got wet and left this horrible purple stain in the finish. This table is barely 2 years old. Is there any way I can remove the stain? Thanks
