before you clean brass you have to strip it frist,, do not use acetone or thinner use a safe product motsenbockers liftoff has a lacquer remover that is safe and works,,, polish with jb wrights brass cream for shiney use suds with a pad for satin or grained,, protect with liftoffs wipe on waterbase lacquer for metal or wood best system around liftoffinc.com click on whats new
