ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

Finish for guitar

I'm having a guitar body custom made with an exotic hawaii exotic wood called flame koa. My question is I want to put an oil on this wood to pull out the nice grain of the wood and then clear it to preserve the look. I was thinking about using a tung or danish oil and then clearing it with a nitrocellulose lacquer. Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of oil work well with lacquer?
