Found a White Treadle Sewing Machine in the trash last Saturday morning. Description of cabinet;6 rounded drawers with very ornate hand carved wooden pulls for handles. Woodens straps on the side to hold drawers to cabinet. The cabinet body has a rounded look. Front cover piece is missing. Cabinet in fairly good shape. 3 of the ornate wooden cabinet pulls are damaged and need to be replaced. I will continue to search for replacements and if I locate something I will be sure to keep you informed. Will you do the same for me. This is my first endeavour to refinish this machine. My son will be helping me. I learned to sew on a treadle at my Grandma's house and have always wanted to have one of my own. The good Lord was kind to me, it was free in the trash.
while doing a search I found an 11x17 picture of a machine that looks very much like mine. at www.patented-antiques.com. I also found White cabinets at www.treadleon.net There is a cabinet described as an earlier fancier White FR cabinet that looks very similar to mine but only has 4 drawers.
Thank you margaret
