Any good paste stripper will will work for what you want. The better paste stipper is always the heaviest one because the active ingredient is the heaviest chemical in most of them. Look for an architectural salvage shop and see if you can find an old window that can be cut to fit the broken pane. If you remove the glazing strips pull the nails thru from the back side as that is much less likely to damage the strips and any damage will be concealed when they are replacd. The hardware could be different on the two pieces as long as the hardware you put on is the right time period.
