I have recently acquired 7 pieces of R.J.Horner Faux Bamboo bedroom set. Including a bed, dressing table with mirror,bureau with mirror, etc. I need to get the set appraised for insurance purposes. Also, the pieces are showing some wear, due to their over 100 year old age, where some of the finish is wearing off. How do I go about researching this furniture, finding a reputable appraiser, and refinisher, if refinishing the furniture is in fact appropriate. Thank you for some help.
