Time will do the job, but if it is a noticable color I'm shure you won't want to wait for that to happen. I hope you have a scrap from the instalation to experiment with. If so find a solvent that won't disturb the floor finish. If the floor isn't that new, and I get the feeling it's not, you may need to use paint thinner and some 600 grit wet/dry sand paper. the old finish being shellac, cant stand op to the lacquer thinner solvent that a newer finish would. Also acetone may be helpful if the finish can handel it.
