We have a two piece painted bedroom set from The Continental Furniture Company of High Point, NC, also. A drawer has a label saying "Since 1901". All the drawers on the chest have dove-tail joinery. Apparently the name is well known among antique dealers for quality. I haven't yet found any other useful information on the company itself, though I saw mention of an article saying there was once a fire at the factory.
