Rattan chairs are >40 yrs old. They have some mold and discoloration. Tried to remove the mold/mildew with diluted bleach and was only partially successful. Would like to restore the chairs as best possible to natural color, some of which I believe is permanetly lost, and coat with polyurethane or some other appropriate protector. Any suggestions for products to use? Is there any way to remove the dark brown spots? Can I sand rattan? Stain?
