I own an old Excelsior #23 Garland,Cast Iron Parlor stove manufactured by Excelsior Stove Works, Baltimore. It is in excellant condition. Still "stove black" with no rust. The stove has the patent info dated 1865. Another name on it is Isaac Shepard & Co.Perhaps that manufacturer was succeeded by Excelsior. Any one know where I can find out information as to value, etc.? I'm willing to sell. It came with an old house I purchased about 17 years ago that had a carriage house. It seems like the stove was the source of heating for the stable anjd or carroage "garage"
