Tested amonia fumes on rosewood veneer today, very stubburn, tape worked to protect finish. Place wieght on loose veneer and after a time a shift will result with amonia fumes activator. A little white vinegar beneath the split to reduce any darkening color and remove old glue. Reglue with fresh hide and vacuum bag if possible, or else stiff leg to rafters as mentioned in a previous line.
