Bob, No offence taken. Thanks for your help! The stained I used Is called Ready Seal. It is a xetreior stain and an exterior door. I did restrip the door using sodium hydroxide a degreaser made for oil based stains. By the way , the r/s is a parifin based sealer. I then nutralized the door using oxalic acid and the door come out about the same as the first time except si some places it has turned orange. I used some household bleach on the black areas and it helped some but may have turned it to light. Have I dug my hole deeper? Sure could use some HELP!!!! Doug
