I do have photos of the veneer damage - we had to send them to the shipper for the insurance claim.
I'm going to use mineral spirits to wash down the surface and see what I have underneath. I know it hasn't been refinished so the I'm working with an original finish here.
I've contacted 20+ antique dealers in the Baltimore metro area, and the only name I've gotten is the restorer/refinisher who wants to completely refinish the cabinet. Any ideas on how to locate someone with the stash of veneer who can repair this?
