I have to say your response was a surprise. Do you mean I should ask for professional help because it isn't something I could do myself, or I should do so because the chair might be valuable and I shouldn't mess around with it? I did show it to 2 local restorers and they did not know what it was or how to tackle it. Also while I try to find someone who might know more would it hurt to use a little lemon oil on it?
