You should use T88 epoxy, avaible through the Woodworkers Store, on line. This adhesive drys much slower than any others and that gives the repair much more stregnth, and allows considerable more time for positioning. Wax the outside surface before hand to avoid glue sticking to the outer surface, apply the glue with a slinder flat tool and wrap with narrow strips of wax paper to keep the glue from the clamps. Clamp with adjustable hose clamps and clean off all excess glue soon after clamping using white vinegar. The repair will be stronger than the original wood.
