I stripped a mahogany door with sodium hydroxyde and then nutralized it with oxalic acid. I then applied a quality stain and it looked great until the next day. In a few places the wood turned black! what caused this and what can be done to fix it? Do I have to re-strip? Any help would be greatly appreacited. Douglas
