How did you strip the maple furniture?

In Response To: painting a bedroom suite (Mark)

I read your e-mail about painting a 70 year old maple wood bedroom set. You had stripped off the original finish as well as the painting and antiqued job done over that. Can I ask you how you stripped all of this off? That type of furntiture is exactly what I have--circa 1932 maple furntiture painted and antiqued. How can I strip it and stain it again? JK
