How do you straighten warped solid oak table leaf?

I have an old solid oak dining room set with 3 leafs, one of which is bowed in the center so that the ends are higher than the table surface. Is there a way to straighten it out? Will clamping and steaming work? If so how do you steam wood? Thanks
