have cedar chest w/cedar inside and out,2 brass straps on lid,front and back,but not on bottom,markings on bottom are 2827 nat 28
f b m co (no location) finish appears to be varnish with majority is the natural red of cedar,my folks married in 1920 and received already owned by grandparants so chest is pre 1920 but have no idea when,any new info would be welcome
