I use bordens water borne filler. You can find it in tubes at Home Depot, I like the tubes becauae the filler does not dry out like it does in a can. Why are you using water based aniline dyes? They are very fugitive. Try Transtints which you can get from Homestead Finishing at Homesteadfinishingsupplies.com
