Most platform rodckers were attatched to the base with coil springs. If you look closely at the rocker and base you should be able to see a "shadow" of the original spring mounting brackets. Most rocker took a double spring, but some had only one per side and a few had a leaf spring arrangement that rand across the base. WSI at WSI.com carries replacements ffor the double and single spring sets.
