I have a victorian platform rocker which I am trying to restore. The rocker is seperated from the base which raises two questions. How was the rocker attached to the base? It appears that it originally hung from metal hardware which was attached to the side of the base frame and the chair frame. The use of dowels is somehow involved here as well. And the second question, does anyone know how to find the replacement hardware?
Thanks, Susan
