Long story short: my table was found in an abandoned shack deep in the woods of Virginia and was "rescued". It is very solid and detailed. Rotted somewhat, bad shape and appears to have been shot with a .22 believe it or not. The single bullet (no kidding) went through top and struck through the drawer label, cutting it in two. Why would you shoot a table once? BEAUTIFUL but dont know the manufacturer. I can read only "...(something) MERSMAN BROS BRANDTS CO....ining and Library....Celina, Ohio...GLADIATOR TABLES and thats it. Anybody know what AGE this "may" be or if this manufacturer is still around?? Mystery to me but table is georgeous. Found a handwritten number on it and "signature" scribble hidden under a rotted laminate top...Fat, ornate legs with large, ovular top and single drawer..will refinish as long as George Washington didn't own it.....Any help or referral would be greatly appreciated!...ALVest@rmc.com
