Hi, James --

You were absolutely right! I've attached the webbing onto the bottom of the frame. Miraculously, the combination of the front/back and side/side webbing created a flat surface for the springs. I'm starting to tie them now. It's amazing to me that it's a nice flat surface. All my fretting over nothing. Thank you for your help and encouragement! I'm following all your advice.
