wood drying out on sideboard

I have an oak side board and china cabinet. The wood seems to be drying out on the sides of each piece. I was wondering if there is something I can purchas to rub on the wood to restore the moisture to it. Also I have a matching table, the top of my table is sticky, how can I fix this without having to redo my table top.
