James, I tried to put a couple of photos in this message, but guess it can't be done. I will attach them to an e-mail. Thank you for offering to help!

My idea (which I haven't started yet) is to very securely attach a 3/4" x 3/4" board all around the bottom of the inside of the seat frame, and to tack webbing into that. The narrowest part of the seat frame is 3", so that will leave me 2 1/4" above that for enclosing the springs.

As for those two curved boards that run from front to back of the seat (about 1/3 of the way from each end), I'm thinking I need to replace them with flat boards so that the webbing (and springs) won't curve way down when I tack them in that part of the seat. Now that I think about it some more, I'm wondering if those two boards are necessary. The frame is all walnut. Thank you!!!
