If this is a piece of little value just have some fun with it . Use 100 grit dand paper and sand though to bare wood in the areas that would normally wear at the fron edge of the to on the drawer corner the outsied of the fron legs. Get some dark stain like Bartlets dark walnut and glaze some "dirt" streaks on top, sides, fronts anywhere you want too.
