ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

Singer Sewing Machine

In the 25 years that I have refinished furniture, I have managed to avoid a singer as bad as the one I have been asked to restore. "It was grandmothers". Several parts are missing and the veneer is terrible. Not only is the top layer of oak veneer bad, but the second layer will have to come off too. The popular layer on the underneath side is also bad. I need a source of veneer. Can anyone give me some suggestions? I also need some parts. Can you someone point me to reproduction parts? Thanks.
