We call them plant stands or parlor tables if the are over 12" across the top. Thousands of them were sold so they are still prolific today, but their value should range from $125. to around $300.00, depending. I would sanded lightly between the boards with a thin sheet of sand paper, 220, folded over. Start by scraping the split clean with the back edge of a utility knife. Tie the top snugly together with a bicycle tube cut into a big rubber band, this will keep constant pressure on the joint as you clean and sand, preferably from the bottom. Wipe clean and apply fresh hide glue and clamp. Lastly clean off any squeeze-out with white vinegar, wait a day, all done!
