When I encounter new veneer that has started to give way, I restick it using a cotton rag and a steam iron, no steam, set on low. About 150 degrees F. Rub the iron gently, with the rag over the loose spot, till the glue starts to stick again. Continue for a few more seconds, remove the iron and hold firmly with a flat item, say a book, till the veneer is restuck. In the future keep this area away from the sun. If it reloosens call a specialist in furniture repair, to remove and reglue with fresh contact cement.
