If you ever find the formula you are looking for please post it. I have been looking for it since the 1950's. Each piece that I work with has to be hand matched using a variety of pigments and dyes usually in the same medium that the piece will be finished with. The only way to learn them is by experience (read trial and error) You can get artists color in small quantities and work with them.
