In Response To: Old chairs (Teresa Koronka)

My husband and I recently came across a queen anne chair probably from the 50s error which the upholsterer tells us but when we bought it from a flea market the gentleman said he was over 75 and the chair has been in his family for as long as he could remember. We got the chair home and paid very little for it and I tried to wash it as I was trying to get a stain out and the chair ripped so we took it to a custom quality upholsterer who can restore the chair and want's to charge 2 to $300.00. My question is, is it worth spending that kind of money on it??
