Some good freinds of mine just got an old ice-box from a yard sale. on the top center of the cabinet is a label that reads, "Herrick Refrigerator Company, Waterloo, Iowa". They found some dates on the hardware going back to 1801. Do You suppose this date is the patent date, the manufacture date of hardware, or could it be an approximate date of the ice-box? Do you know of anywhere one could get some information on this company? It does not appear that it is still in business as I can not find anything current on them on the web or anywhere.
