Hi Lindy, I'm glad it looks better...I would switch to strokes with the grain now. You might try rubbing with long strokes dry, with out the Mineral spirits...that might remove the whitish film. Again, I wish I could see whats going on, it would allow me to be more help. I beleive that you are refinishing this table!....If the color is still what it should be, and it's progressing like it appears, you probably can continue until most/all of the wax is removed. Is there any way you can send some pictures? The easiest way to add some shine will be with a few new coats of A good paste wax.....but this will only give moderate protection, so if this table will see hard useage you'll have to consider something else. What tpe of table is it...side, dining, coffee?...my inclination is to have you really clean all the wax off this top and do something like a light sanding and a wipe on varnish or poly/varnish type product....that is fairly low odor and fairly easy to apply ....keep us posted
