I like Briwax but will use most, and look for toluene free products. Colors can be found as well, or stick a bit of Crayon in a small ammount of the clear to get the same thing. The doors may need to be refinished, as the surface is now swelled. Some warming from the sun may get things to lay back down, but I can't believe that it is a likely prospect since some time has already transpired. Wax won't hurt and can provide a bit of protection, but any standing water will get into the wood if not removed in a timely mater.
