You can get just about any info you need on your machine from the vintage sewing group at yahoo. Theycan give you a date from the serial number on the plate on the front of your machine. I use diluted murphys oil soap, more lather than water and gently wipe off dirt and grime,wipe down with a clean cloth and sewing machine oil.
