I would take a job like that to a pro. It's just not worth taking a chance on blowing up your house with a leaky gas stove.. Finding parts may be difficult but they are available or can be made or modified from other parts. Have the entire stove checked for leaks and broken parts. I used one made in I think 1936 and was very pleased with it.
