I read the article in fine woodworking about finishing curley maple. My question is, can I spray lacquer over a tung oil finish. The lacquer I am using is made by basf and is intended for cars-its called alpha cryl and i clear but can be tinted. Will the lacquer take over the dried tung oil(minwax).
