The method of removal will change depending on how deep the burn is. If it is only in the finish it can be polished out with 0000 steel wool then a little finish padded in to replace what is lost then polish to match the sheen. If it is in the wood the best bet is to conceal it by brushing in color that will cover it to match the light areas of the top then adding grain lines to blend with existing and finish over it to bind the color to the top then polich to match original sheen.
