Dear Vicki, Your best bet is to take it to an expert gilder. Gilt is very difficult to match, also you don't want the retouched areas to look new compared to the surrounding areas. The gilder will know whether to goldleaf or use some gold pigments, how to apply it so as to match the texture and age of the original. Look up for ceramics restorers in your area, they should have quite a bit of expertise in this field. Good luck, Manuela
