In Response To: Cleaning of Hummel statues (Jerri Hiserost)

Hi Jerri, I assume that your figurines were not in salt water. Try and clean them with luke warm water and some enzyme product like "Biotex" and a soft tooth brush. Remember to plug any holes that the figurines may have, depending on the size use plasticine. If there is water inside, I would inject clean water through the hole, shake the figurine gently and retrive the water again try with a syringe without the needle, do this repeatedly until the water comes out clean. The water with Biotex should do the cleaning job otherwise try some Vulpex. Whatever you do with the figurines, ensure that the inside is thoroughly dried. If the figurines show rust signs, contact me so we can discuss further cleaning Good luck Manuela
