Cleanning Dresden figurine

Hello, I've been trying to find out how to clean a figural lamp i purchased. It's a woman in a dress, COVERED with TONS of LACE. I think it's Dresden but don't know for sure as i don't want to uncover the bottom of the base to see if there are any markings on it. The lace is NOT the "stiff lace" on some figurines you find but the kind that has been fired and burned away, leaving the shape of it. It's VERY delicate and can brake easily. Is there some way to carefully clean this? She is really beautiful but all the dust/dirt detracts from her beauty. She appears to have been stored for quite a time as the prongs on the plug are green and all the metal is aged looking also. Please advise and Thank you, Sharon
