Dresden China Dolls

I recently inherited several beautiful Dresden China Dolls and Figurines. I have been told that they need to be kept at a certain temperature, and need to have some water or humidity, or they will dry out and crumble. A couple of the dolls have some of the china clothing/hats that have some missing pieces, but most of them are in excellent shape. I have been unable to find a book on how to care for them, or even the name of a restorer/expert in my area that I can ask questions of. I have also been told that I will need to send them out to have them cleaned. Is there a book or something available, or a source in the U.S. that I can call and ask questions so that I can find out how to care for them? Is repair and cleaning expensive? How often do you clean them? I want to be able to pass them on to my family in good condition.
