STONEWARE CROCK REPAIR

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 20 GALLON CROCK THAT I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE BRANDY IN, BUT IT LEAKS. IS THERE ANY WAY TO REPAIR THIS THAT WOULD NOT BE TOXIC? I READ A RESPONSE TO A LETTER BY LEONARD BACK IN 1999 THAT STATED ALL REPAIRS WOULD BE TOXIC. I'M HOPING 4 YEARS HAS BROUGHT US NEW TECHNOLOGY.

ANY HELP PLEASE?
