There is a non hardening weatherstrip caulk called Mortite....it comes in a roll of pre formed "ropes" about 3/16-1/4" thick and can be shaped and doubled up,etc.I have used and removed the stuff for years and it leaves no residue as long as you don't try to remove it when it's really warm out....Maybe that would work temporarily...
