Would this be from a dog? Often we find water damage on furniture legs, they are usually in a straight line, does this sound like your damage? If you are sure it is from an animal, then you will need to use a chlorine bleach. Cover the entire leg to avoid a lap mark. If a dark water mark remains after the chlorine bleach then a couple applications of oxalic acid may be needed. Some serious sanding will need to be done as well since the grain will be raised and the outer wood cells may be permanently damaged from the urine.. Are you sure it is pet pee? That sounds pretty odd, but we hear a lot of odd things here fairly often so ,I guess.
