In Response To: remove paint splatters on veneer moulding (Jeri)

Was it latex paint that you used??? I have never seen "Oops" or "GoofOff" not work on Latex...especially fresh latex....are you sure you rubbed hard enough..it will not dissolve it on contact..you need to rub pretty hard to dissolve it...and keep moving to a fresh, clean area of the rag....It's very strange to have veneered molding in your home...what type of veneer??...if the wood's grain is an "open" grain, then it's possible the dissolved paint could be rubbed into the grain...and that will not be easy to remove..you may find that you have to fill the grain with something dark on top of the paint now...like a gel stain or dark pore filler....something to fill the grain over the paint...
