Hoosier cabinets were really cool. They were an all in one type of thing. They were like pieces of furniture as in the could be moved around, and had unique places for storage of spices, sugar, flour, etc. Log onto VanDykes.com and you can see pictures of real Hoosier cabinets. It sounds as though what you have is some cabinet company capitalizing on the name "Hoosier" however. When Hoosier cabinets were in vogue, people didn't have built-ins like we do now. They were like a transition from simple shelves to store things and what we have in kitchens today.
