I've got a oak table which we painted with a oak wax. I've been trying to sand down the top of table to revanish as water fell over the table and it went patchy. Finding it very hard to get the wax of the table, can you recommend what I can do? Also, after I have done this I want to revanish with a waterproof vanish this time, I have brought Ronseal Diamond Hard Varnish Satin finish in medium oak, it says water resistant, heat etc. Would this be ok if the kids spilt water on the table again? Thankyou.
